Whew! You thought (or were hoping, perhaps) that I forgot to finish my Hawaii trip blog, didn’t you? Wednesday, we got up with the plan of all of us (except one) driving to the North Shore and having a picnic on Tunnels Beach, snorkel, hang out, and see where the day took us. We were planning this trip for Thursday, but predictions of a swell that day (causing the snorkeling bad, not to mention dangerous) caused us to move it up a day. The day ended up being very low key. I nearly fell asleep on the beach (in the shade), snorkeled briefly, ate lunch on the beach, watched the birds that landed on the beach, watched crabs scuttle back and forth, observed a dog and it’s owner playing in the water, and then I got antsy. Part of the group was ready to head out and do some other things, so I went along with them, and went shopping and got some appetizers and drinks. If you like coconut, the lava flow drinks are wonderful.
